Amy Whitaker is a writer, artist, and teacher who works at the intersection of creativity, business, and everyday life. She holds an MBA from Yale University and an MFA in painting from the Slade School of Fine Art at University College London. She is Principal at the curriculum development company Eggshell Knight, which developed NEW INC’s professional development programs, and she is currently working on an ownership platform for artists.
Whitaker teaches and lectures widely. She is a founding faculty member at SVA’s MFA in Products of Design program, and a volunteer mentor for the TED Fellows initiative. Her first book, Museum Legs, was selected as the common summer reading assignment for the first year class at RISD in 2010. Her second book, Art Thinking, is being published by HarperCollins and will be released in July 2016.
