Christian Rocha explores the ever-increasing intersection of art, design, and technology. He believes visual and technical disciplines by nature go hand-in-hand. Rocha is keenly interested in video games as an emerging art form and in integrating video game-like concepts, interactions, and mechanics into non-video game products and situations—both digital and physical. As Rocha sees it, software and hardware have traditionally been extremely conservative in both voice and mechanic, and his work looks to shatter this standard into a million shards of pixelated pastel glass with a chiptune soundtrack.
Rocha currently runs software studio Magic Numbers and digital consultancy firm Stiletto. He studied graphic design at ArtCenter College of Design after teaching himself programming. Loving programming dearly, he has vowed not to code for money.
