Dahkil Hausif began his craft as a voiceover talent, filmmaker, writer, and editor while he was an undergraduate student at Syracuse University, studying in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in their Television, Radio, and Film program. Upon graduating, he began working at Mad River Post in New York, where he quickly became an assistant editor, and he then went on to join Spot Welders. A First Boards Award finalist for editing, Hausif has cut spots for prestigious commercial clients as well as film directors. He cowrites and codirects projects for Sunshowah Films with partner Daoud Abeid. Together, they have created three award-winning short films, the most recent of which, Shades of Brooklyn Vol. 1, aired on HBO. Their next project is a narrative feature film, which will be shot in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica.

As a professional voiceover talent, Hausif has done work for a multitude of brands and has been the voice of ESPN Film’s 30 for 30 documentary series since it was created seven years ago. He also serves on the board of trustees for the Corlears School, where was Chair of their Diversity Committee and Advancement Committee, as well as for the Blue Mountain Art Institute.
