Jonathan Bobrow is an artist, designer, developer, and a co-founder of Move38, which builds new ways to engage with complex systems. A graduate of MIT Media Lab’s Playful Systems, Bobrow explores tactile interfaces for playing with alternate coordinate systems. One such project, AutomaTiles, puts the interactions found in all living systems in the user’s hands. Bobrow is strongly informed by the idea that our minds are shaped by the toys and tools we grow up with, and our design spaces are limited by the coordinate systems with which we are most comfortable. Through his work, he offers new tools and perspectives to address these limitations.
