One-On-One Mentor
Shani Jamila is an artist, cultural worker, and Fulbright scholar with over a decade of leadership experience in creating innovative programs that use the arts to catalyze social change. Currently, she is a 2016 TED Resident and Managing Director of the Urban Justice Center, where she organizes exhibitions and events with a human rights focus.

Named as one of the “35 Most Remarkable Women in the World” by Essence Magazine, she regularly writes, lectures, and hosts community conversations about art, justice, identity, and global engagement. Her travels to nearly fifty countries throughout the Americas, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean inform her photography and collage practice.
