Tega Brain is an Australian-born artist, researcher, and environmental engineer whose work reimagines the infrastructures, interfaces, and institutions that structure our relationship with larger environment systems. In her work she creates speculative systems, experimental software, and installations. Brain teaches at the School for Poetic Computation in New York and has recently been in residence at the Environmental Health Clinic at New York University. In 2013, Brain was awarded an early career Creative Australia fellowship from the Australia Council for the Arts. She has exhibited widely in Australia, with recent exhibitions at the Dublin Science Gallery and at Eyebeam Centre for Art and Technology, New York.
