Matt McCorkle is a sound designer working at the intersection of audio, space, and technology. McCorkle's career started in recording studios, where he worked with artists including John Legend, Papa Roach, Fabolous, Laura Izibor, Liza Minnelli, and Jon Batiste. In 2012, he co-founded CDZA, a YouTube channel that translated pop culture through music. He has conducted field recordings in the Amazon rainforest, created sound design for film and TV, and produced a podcast exploring the sonic geography of different spaces. From data sonification and installations to AR, VR, and interactive games, McCorkle is interested in using sound to help people experience the world in new ways.
