Mebrak Tareke is a writer, curator and strategic communications professional. She works at the intersection of art, technology, and social change/impact. In 2013, she co-founded TURF, an award-winning curatorial project exploring the myths of ‘Africana’ in the digital age. Tareke has curated shows at Artsy, cutlog NY, and Spring Break Art Show. She has also written for Hyperallergic, Kilimanjaro, Under The Influence Magazine, and Contemporary And. Tareke holds an MSc in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Modern European Studies from University College London.
