Experiments in Art and Technology

Supported by Nokia Bell Labs and in partnership with Rhizome, we invite artists, creative technologists, indie game designers, preservation researchers, interaction designers and others making and researching art that is born-digital to apply to be a part of this new track.

• Mentorship from Rhizome staff members, and participation in special events with the Rhizome community.

• Mentorship from Nokia Bell Labs E.A.T. program leadership and scientific community

• Special access to Nokia Bell Labs campus, and research labs

• Opportunities to participate in special Track-specific public programs

• Opportunity to be awarded a seed grant to prototype a new creative work informed by collaboration with Nokia Bell Labs

Program Requirements:

• People participating in this track can join NEW INC as either a Dedicated Desk or Hot Desk member, but will be expected to participate in a series of exchange programs organized both at NEW INC and also at Bell Labs in NJ (transportation provided)

• This track is geared towards an artistic community working in a variety of media and areas of research. We will privilege artists and artistic themes over other proposals.


Cost:

  • Dedicated Desk: $100 + Initiation Fees

  • Hot Desk: $50 + Initiation Fees
