Bill Foulkes is on the faculty of the Rhode Island School of Design, where he teaches business and entrepreneurship. Most recently, Bill was the Principal Investigator for an NSF/SBIR Phase I grant to commercialize, in partnership with the RISD Textiles Department and Cornell University’s Computer Science Department, a software program for the visualization, manufacture and sale of customized woven textile products. Prior to teaching, Bill has been executive and part of the founding team of numerous tech start-up's as well as part of executive teams in more established firms. Bill was recently Chair of the RI Council on Postsecondary Education; a directorSlater Technology Fund, a non-profit venture investment firm; and, Creative Capital, a national venture philanthropy fund for the arts which offers funding, counseling and career development services to artists. Bill holds an A.B. in History from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
