Anna Henson

Anna Henson is an artist, researcher, and educator in media arts and emerging technologies. She is a founding faculty member of the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln where she teaches courses in visual and interactive media, extended theater, XR, projection design, media studies, and virtual production. Recently, Henson's work has been exhibited at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Public Theater, and she is a 2023 Unreal Engine Fellow in Animation. She is currently engaged in research utilizing media arts within social and behavioral sciences, addressing areas like community impact, relapse prevention, and stigma reduction as a collaborator with the Rural Drug Addiction Research Center at the University of Nebraska. Her work focuses on co-creative processes, embodied experiences, digital identities, and equity and transparency in technological access.
