David Liu
David is a creative technology executive, leading teams specialized in spatial computing and emerging technology product innovation. He is the former Head of Studios at BetterUp, where he built and led an unprecedented team to deliver personal growth to every person through novel, transformative cross-medium experiences.
He has over 15 years of interdisciplinary experience across commercial filmmaking, game development and spatial computing. At Viacom NEXT, he and his team developed over 20 award-winning VR/AR projects. Working across R&D, talent development, publishing, and innovation strategy; among Viacom NEXT's highlights were working with MTV to bring VR artwork to the Obama White House, and partnering with Paramount Pictures and the Transformers franchise to develop the world's first ARKit movie tie-in. Their last project, Aeronaut VR featuring Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, clinched the coveted Cannes Lions Grand Prix in the Digital Craft category.
David is now excitedly taking some time off to invest time in himself and his family. In his spare time he continues to mentor, advise and coach a gamut of XR creators, startup founders.
