Giorgio Vitale
Giorgio Vitale is a curator, art advisor, and gallerist based in Berlin, Germany. His area of focus is the impact of technology and the digital on society through the lens of art. In 2017, Vitale founded synthesis, the leading new media art gallery with a focus on immersive art. synthesis is an immersive blend of technology and art displayed under one roof, showcasing cutting-edge experiences by new wave of artists and visionaries through virtual and augmented reality. In its first five years, the gallery has produced more than 20 exhibitions of new media art in Berlin and abroad, online and on chain. Notable recent curated exhibitions by Vitale include Sound Becomes Site: Symphony for the Metaverse at MEET Digital Culture Center, I KNOW at Feral File/synthesis gallery. In addition to his work for synthesis gallery, Vitale is a mentor at the New Museum’s art and tech incubator NEW INC (New York, United States) and main advisor on web3 and blockchain at MEET Digital Culture Center (Milan, Italy).
