Jacob Marshall

Jacob Marshall is an interdisciplinary multisensory artist and aesthetic theorist based in Brooklyn, NY. His work is focused on creating Multisensory Aesthetic Experiences which expand musical harmony into the language of our other senses. Alongside an extraordinary group of international collaborators, he combines music, immersive visualizations of light and color, fragrance, haptics, flavors and wind.

He has given performances, workshops, and lectures around the world including at Yale’s Center for Collaborative Arts 2017, New Museum’s NEWINC 2014, Cannes Lions 2014, 2015, and the UN General Assembly 2017.

He has served as a producer for the Global Citizen Festival, which brings 60,000 music fans per year to the great lawn of New York’s Central Park and has raised over $40 billion of new funding to support the eradication or extreme global poverty via the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. His band MAE has performed over 1600 concert on 5 continents and released 8 recordings. In 2016, Jacob created a first-of-its-kind, live-synced VR concert experience inside Jerusalem’s historic Tower of David to close the Forbes Under 30 Summit.

In 2019, Jacob co-composed a musical work featuring solo violin and piano which had its world premier in Carnegie Hall with the UN Chamber Music Society & members of the NY Philharmonic. He was awarded the Spirit of Windrider Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
