Jess Van Nostrand

Jess Van Nostrand is an independent curator and arts educator whose work functions at the intersection of exhibitions and public programming.

Jess currently serves as a Trustee of the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, and previously worked as Assistant Director of Exhibition Programs and Gallery Initiatives at the Museum of Modern art. She has also served on the Board of Directors for Smack Mellon Arts Center and ArtTable, the national leadership organization for women in the arts. Jess is passionate about creative projects that take the audience into account, especially those in which the exchange between artist and audience is mutually beneficial.

Jess received her BA in Art History from The George Washington University and her MA in Art History from Richmond, The American University in London. She also holds a certificate in Financial Success for Nonprofits from Cornell University.
