John Fitzgerald
John Fitzgerald is an artist, creative technologist, and cofounder of the award-winning creative studio, Sensorium. Recent credits include: Co-creator, Polymorphic (Plásmata, Athens ’22), Co-creator, Metamorphic (Sundance ’20 & SIGGRAPH ‘20) Co-creator, Zikr: A Sufi Revival (Sundance ’18 & IDFA ‘18) Co-creator, objects in mirror AR closer than they appear (Tribeca ’18) and Producer, The Sky Is A Gap (Sundance ’17).
John’s films have screened at the Panama Biennial, Berlinale Talents, the Rio de Janeiro Film Festival, and the Simón Patiño Foundation in Bolivia. He holds an honors degree from the department of Modern Culture and Media Studies from Brown University. He is a former Visiting Artist at the MIT Center for Art Science and Technology, Visiting Scholar at the MIT Center for Advanced Urbanism, Pulitzer Center Grantee, RLab XR Beta Resident, and an inaugural member of NEW INC, where he is now a mentor. John is a 2022-23 Studio Fellow at ONX, the center for immersive art created in partnership with the Onassis Foundation and the New Museum.
