Robert Kwak

Robert Kwak is the Chief Operating Officer of Benchmark Arts, an art production firm serving artists, cultural institutions, and themed entertainment companies. The firm’s clients include MOCA (Los Angeles), the Rose Kennedy Greenway (Boston), Walt Disney Imagineering, and numerous emerging, mid, and late-career artists. Robert has also served as visiting lecturer at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he taught public art production.

Prior to Benchmark Arts, Robert founded Muu, a domestically-produced contemporary furniture company. A finalist for the Industrial Design Society of America’s Design Excellence Awards, the company received media coverage from Dwell, the Los Angeles Times, and California Home + Design among others. He began his career at Sony Music.

Robert holds a B.A. with honors from Amherst College and a law degree from Georgetown University. In addition to his work at Benchmark Arts, he is a trustee of the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston.
