Severin Matusek

Severin Matusek is the founder of co—matter, a research and strategy studio investigating the societal and cultural impact of emerging technologies. As a strategy advisor and expert in community building he works with international institutions and brands such as Apple, Samsung, Adobe, WeTransfer, Native Instruments, King Entertainment, Yuga Labs and Serpentine Galleries R&D.

As a writer, curator and photographer his work has been featured by the BBC, I-D, VICE, British Journal of Photography, Leica Fotografie International and The New Yorker, among others. Severin is the host of the Culture & Technology Podcast and publisher of critically acclaimed reports on internet culture such as Post-Social Media (2020), After the Creator Economy (2022) and Networked Counterculture (2023).

Severin holds a master degree in philosophy from the University of Vienna and has taught at Leuphana University Lueneburg, JKU Linz and Hyper Island Stockholm. He is currently based in Berlin and likes to ride his bike.
