Queenie Wu
Queenie Wu is a creative engineer and analytical designer with a healthy obsession for maps. This obsession, combined with her curiosity about people, is what composed her motivation of playfully creating shared understandings across spaces - physical and emotional.
Her work is shared though maps, software, as well as more ephemeral mediums such as murals and digital experiences. Often incorporating elements of co-creation and participation, Queenie takes on a whimsical, interactive approach to exploring the intricate relationships between self and place while lowering barriers to spatial and data literacy.
With roots grown in Shanghai, Vancouver, Waterloo, and now, New York, she takes inspiration from everyone and everywhere in her practice of art, research, code, and cartography.
