Del Johnson
Del Johnson is a Principal at Backstage Capital, a seed stage VC fund and international startup accelerator that has invested in over 100 companies started by women, people of color and LGBTQ founders. His focus is sourcing and vetting potential portfolio investments, as well as supporting operations on the East Coast. Previously, Del worked with the People Operations team at Google where he coordinated Google and YouTube’s software engineering Hiring Committee and was awarded tech staffing honors for creating the first successful initiative to source and screen underrepresented software engineering talent from coding bootcamps. He was also an award-winning account manager at Oracle, where he led complex B2B enterprise and mid-market software sales and marketing campaigns. Del holds a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Berkeley and received his Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School.
