Lylan Masterman
Lylan Masterman is a General Partner at White Star Capital. An experienced former Software Engineer and Product Manager, Masterman leverages his experience in leading technology teams as an investor and board member. In 2004 he joined the Atlas division of aQuantive to help lead the company’s product growth; the company scaled drastically and 3½ years later it was acquired by Microsoft for $6.2bn. Masterman has also led product organizations for four early-stage companies. Selected by Alleywatch as one of New York’s 50 Tech Influencers, Masterman has appeared on live TV on Cheddar and TDAmeritrade Network, has been interviewed in Inside The Mind of a New York VC and his writing has been featured in Business Insider, VentureBeat, Entrepreneur, and Thrive Global. Masterman is a Kauffman Fellow. He has lived in Canada, both east and west coasts of the US, and has called New York home since 2011.
