Phil Cox is a strategist and audience engagement expert with experience across the cultural and creative industries. He currently works at Pentagram Design, where he oversees strategy and business development for interactive experiences and information design projects under partner Giorgia Lupi. Previously, he was a strategist at arts consultancy LaPlaca Cohen, where he led strategic planning and brand strategy projects for leading cultural organizations including MoMA, MCA Chicago, and the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County. He also served as project manager for Culture Track, LaPlaca Cohen’s pro bono audience research initiative and the largest tracking study of cultural participation, directing data collection, analysis, design, and launch strategy. He has lectured on audience trends and the future of cultural experiences to professional and academic groups across North America, including the International Society for the Performing Arts, American Alliance of Museums, and Canadian Arts Summit.
