Valentin Spiess
A trained electrical engineer, Valentin Spiess has been working in new media since 1993. His collaborations with with various artists, festivals, and theatrical productions created the bedrock for iart, an experience design and engineering he founded in 2001. Since then, under his leadership, the small interdisciplinary team has expanded into a team of over 40 specialists: designers, programmers, software developers, engineers— engaged in conception, planning, and realization for dozens of high profile media projects internationally. These include collaborations with architects such as Asif Khan: Hyundai Pavilion / Interactive Water Installation at the Winter Olympics 2018 in Pyeongchang; The kinetic facade MegaFaces pavilion at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics; Herzog & DeMeuron and Ai Wei Wei: Hansel & Gretel at the Park Avenue Armory, among others.
