MIPSTERZ is an arts and culture collective presenting and incubating creative Muslim expression to general audiences since 2012. The collective has championed self-expression through dozens of curated community events across the US and empowers artists to co-create culture-challenging work. MIPSTERZ projects are a home for marginalized Muslim, and allied creators to flourish, collaborate, and experiment with diverse folks who share a common connection to a larger tradition.

Original MIPSTERZ works have been featured at The Shed, de Young Museum, Cooper Hewitt Museum, Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and Tribeca Film Festival. MIPSTERZ is a cultural phenomenon discussed in numerous academic works and press, including CNN, Al-Jazeera, NPR, and The Atlantic. Their latest project, “ALHAMDU | MUSLIM FUTURISM,” was funded by the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art.

At NEW INC, collective members Yusuf Siddiquee, Abbas Rattani, and Shimul Chowdhury will design and expand their multimedia immersive art experience and archive exploring the concept of Muslim Futurism.
