Louis Bickford

Louis Bickford has worked in leadership and management positions with international nonprofits, human rights organizations, social justice and advocacy organizations, and philanthropies for over 20 years. Previously, he managed the international human rights program at the Ford Foundation. In 2017 he founded a social enterprise to collect, curate, and share personal stories through an internet platform, working with cultural and community organizations and museums. He is currently working on an Encyclopedia of Changemakers. He brings expertise in organizational development, leadership, fundraising (nonprofit, for-profit, and social enterprise), innovation, strategic planning, and developing theories of change. He is a member of the faculty at Columbia University's Institute for the Study of Human Rights where he teaches regaular graduate seminars on how organizations achieve social change.
