Jeremy Schipper

Jeremy is an artist and architectural designer from Canada living in New York. He has worked in design studios in Canada, Spain, and Morocco, and co-founded Salmon Creek Studio (out of Salmon Creek Farm, a queer commune in Northern California). During his two years at Salmon Creek Farm he created 2D and 3D drawn archives of the multiple cabins scattered throughout the redwoods constructed by back-to-the-lander’s of the early 1970’s. This archiving went in hand-in-hand with first-time experiences in gardening, carpentry, renovation, and batch-cooking – all of the activities required to keep a commune and its members happy.

His solo practice consists of design work across architecture, interiors, and landscape, in addition to work in ceramic, textiles, and digital media. Most recently he has completed exhibition design for galleries in New York, Los Angeles, and Houston, and had textile works displayed at the North American Pavilion at Frieze in London.
